The Senior Adult Facility at Dorchester is a 10,600 SF community-based space designed to support the evolving needs of the city’s growing senior population in the emerging Lambs neighborhood. The facility features a flexible-use great room that can serve as a classroom, library, or communal sitting area, along with a fully equipped fitness room, an exercise studio, and a warm-water swimming pool for therapeutic and recreational use. Multi-purpose activity rooms accommodate a variety of programs, such as ceramics, woodworking, and fine arts, fostering creativity and engagement. Designed with a focus on dignity, independence, and well-being, the center provides a welcoming environment that encourages an active and fulfilling lifestyle. The exterior architecture reflects a modern interpretation of Lowcountry design, incorporating brick, fiber cement cladding, and a metal roof. Thoughtfully placed windows and doors allow natural light to permeate the interior while providing serene views of the surrounding landscape.
