Charleston County Vehicle Maintenance Facility

GBA provided full site and building design services for Charleston County’s 26,000-square-foot Heavy Equipment Maintenance Facility located in North Charleston, SC. The facility was designed to support a wide range of operations and includes 12 maintenance bays, a dedicated welding bay, two EMS repair bays, heavy equipment service bays, and a small engine repair area. Additional program elements include tool and parts storage, an overhead 10-ton crane to support large-scale maintenance tasks, and a fully equipped administrative area. The design emphasizes functionality, durability, and efficient workflow to meet the County’s ongoing service and operational needs.
